Autumn 2024 update – open for applications

The block in Farriers Court will consist of 2 two bedroom and 6 one bedroom apartments and will be available for occupation from early January next year. The Trust will rent the apartments at affordable rents, being 70% of the relevant market rate. They are designed to support working families and individuals from the area and key workers who are essential for health services and the economy. Priority will be given to those with a local connection to Easebourne.

The apartments are being built to a high specification with extensive insulation, carpeted throughout and with a kitchen fully equipped with cooker, fridge, extraction fan and washing machine. Each apartment will have access to a communal bin and bicycle store and will be allocated one car parking space.

The Trust will be inviting applications for tenancies of the apartments in early October on the Tenancies page. Applicants will be asked to complete and send in by the end of October an expression of interest form which will be available on the website.

Vacancy for a Manager Part-time

The task of managing 10 units would be well beyond what can be expected of a volunteer non-executive and as a result MCLT will be appointing a property manager. While there will no doubt be periods of limited activity on the management front, there will be periods when there will be a lot to do, and the manager will have to respond to emergency calls from the tenants.
